nino ferrer, vol. 5 - alexandre

in this post you will find the rare spanish language version of nino ferrer's song "alexandre" and an english language version by german band the boots, called "alexander" (to be found on the excellent german sixties compilation "the in-kraut 66-74").

I am a big fan of Nino Ferrer!

Try his older releases too, like Métronomie.

Hi Bryan

Thanks for all the Nino posts.

Very underrated fella.

Check more of his stuff here:

I highly recommend Métronomie.

Haven't had time to check out the others yet.

And while you're over there, check out Gérard Manset too. In a different style, but you might like it. I sure do! (and have for many years...)

Cheers,

Marc

hi marc,

thank you for the links, but i have the 12 cd collection (i had to buy it even though i already have had the single cds, mainly for the italian tracks). and il corbaccio sent me the link for "che fine ha fatto".

it is nice to see other people sharing the same passion, now i am very curious to hear gérard manset!

btw, "métronomie" is my favourite nino ferrer album of the post 60's.

Hi Bryan

You're welcome.

Glad to hear that you already have that.

Hope you like Gérard Manset. Let me know what you think.

Someone else you might want to try is Michel Polnareff, although his voice is certainly an acquired taste!

Have a look here to sample the goods:

Cheers!
